Peter Ward Senior Chartered Physiotherapist Clinical Director & Founder

Peter graduated from UCD in 2005 and currently works part-time as a Senior Physiotherapist in Primary Care in Dublin North.  He worked in Beaumont Hospital from 2005 until March 2023.   He covered a variety of positions as a senior in the Care of the Older Persons services including the Raheny Community Nursing Unit, St. Josephs Hospital, Beaumont Emergency Department as well as the acute wards.  Most recently he was the Acting Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist on the Pathfinder team, a collaboration between Beaumont Hospital and the National Ambulance Service.  He completed his MSc in Older Person Rehabilitation from UCC, graduating in 2018.  He is also a training facilitator for the National Frailty Education Program for Health Professionals in North Dublin.

Peter has a keen interest in frailty and the rehabilitation of balance and mobility in older people. He is also experienced in treating people post stroke, joint replacements and a wide variety of neurological conditions, such as Parkinsons Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

Peter is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is registered with CORU and he is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance

Peter founded PW Physiotherapy in May 2012.


Saibu Philip Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

Philip received his undergraduate degree from R. Gandhi University in India, graduating in 2000. He then worked for five years in a multi-speciality teaching hospital before coming to Ireland in 2006. In the interim he also received his Post-graduate diploma in gerontology.

He has been working in the Bon Secours hospital in Glasnevin since 2006 as a senior physiotherapist. In March 2023 he also become the physiotherapy manager but is continuing his clinical role in a part-time capacity. Philips main areas of expertise include rehabilitation of the older person, post-joint replacement rehabilitation, chest physiotherapy, balance training, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Philip has completed a certificate program in vestibular rehabilitation and a post graduate diploma in Clinical Leadership from RCSI.

Philip is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, registered with CORU and he is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Gerard Carey Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

Gerard graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, in 2012. After graduation he moved to Singapore where he spent 3 years gaining vital experience in a large academic teaching hospital covering a wide variety of specialities. He returned to Ireland in 2016 and took up a post in Beaumont Hospital where he gained further experience in fields such as orthopaedics, respiratory, neurosurgery and musculoskeletal.

Gerard was promoted to the position of Senior Physiotherapist in the Care of the Older Persons service in Beaumont from 2018. During this time he covered all areas including the Frailty Intervention Therapy Team, the specialist geriatric wards and the rehabilitation unit of St. Joesphs Hospital including the Raheny Community Nursing Unit.   Gerard worked extensively in the Day Hospital in St. Josephs as part of the multidisciplinary team assessing and rehabbing outpatients from the surrounding areas.

In 2022 Gerard moved to the Royal Hospital Donnybrook where he works as the Senior Physiotherapist in the Day Hospital. He continues to provide excellent care to patients from the community and looks to maximise older persons abilities, helping them to age well and remain healthy.

Gerard has a keen interest in assessing and combatting frailty.  He is an education facilitator for the National Frailty Education Program for healthcare professionals in Dublin South East.  He has experience in treating older people with vestibular issues.  Other areas of interest include working with people post stroke, joint replacements and a wide variety of neurological conditions including dementia and Parkinsons Disease.

Gerard is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is registered with CORU.

Fiona Lenihan Senior Physiotherapist

Fiona graduated from Trinity College in 2008. She has extensive experience across a wide variety of healthcare settings, including acute hospitals, rehabilitation centres and primary care. She has worked in Clontarf Orthopaedic Hospital, Beaumont hospital and Wexford General Hospital.

Fiona has been working in HSE primary care physiotherapy services since 2010, working as a Senior Physiotherapist from 2016 to 2022. There she gained an extensive knowledge in assessing and treating a wide variety of conditions in both a clinical and home based setting.  She has keen interest in rehabilitation of the older person, orthopaedic rehabilitation and treatment of neurological conditions and musculoskeletal disorders.

Fiona completed a masters in Occupational Health, safety and wellbeing from University College Cork in 2019.

Fiona is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is registered with CORU and she is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance

Orla O'Callaghan Chartered Physiotherapist

Orla in a CORU registered Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2022 with a BSc in Physiotherapy. Upon graduating, Orla worked in Clontarf Hospital where she gained experience in the rehabilitation of the older person as well as working with a variety of orthopaedic and neurological conditions.  Orla moved to work in Beaumont Hospital in early 2023.  In this time Orla has worked in a number of specialities including Stroke, Respiratory, Neurosurgery, Acute Rehabilitation and Care of the Older Person. In addition to this Orla has recently completed a certificate course in vestibular rehabilitation.

Orla understands the importance of mobility and personalised exercise prescription and always strives to help her patients achieve their goals.

Orla is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance.
